What’s happening in the Atlantic Region?
- Radon Detector Library Loan Program: Over 150 devices have been distributed amongst the Nova Scotia Public libraries for loan
- Giv’er Miramichi added radon to November 2018 calendar, which is delivered to every household in the region
- Wabana, NL on Belle Island distributed free test kits as a part of the 100 Radon Test Kit Challenge
- Moncton, NB: Hosted the Atlantic Radon Workshop presented by CARST with an Awareness Evening, handing out free test kits. Moncton was the first of the 100 Radon Test Kits communities.

The Newfoundland & Labrador Lung Association is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to achieving healthy breathing for the people of Newfoundland & Labrador through programs in Education, Research and Advocacy, sustained by the formalized activities of fundraising, volunteerism, and organizational development. The Atlantic Region Lung Associations provide education and awareness to Atlantic Canadians about radon and the health risks associated with long-term exposure to high concentrations. In addition, the Atlantic Lung Associations sell Health Canada approved long-term radon test kits, which includes laboratory analysis costs.
