Cindy received a Health Canada postcard about radon.  She’d already had cancer, and was concerned how radon could affect her family’s health.  Her message to Canadians?  « Take action  – test your home for radon – it’s important!”

Corey has a science background and stays attuned to health and science issues.  He came across radon information through the media and library lending programs.  He had just purchased his home and knew radon levels were high in the area.  He mitigated his home shortly after the high test result.  He was surprised the government doesn’t provide anything for it like incentives/ programs, etc.  It was important to him to have a certified mitigation professional.  “Get your house tested! Knowledge is key!”

For Yvon mitigating radon was a health issue for the whole family, “We have a living room in the basement, and the grandkids come to visit and play down there – we had a system installed to lower the levels and keep them safe.”

For Eric and his wife, it was the health of their young family that motivated them to have their home tested and dampened.  Éric encourage people to become knowledgeable about radon and test, « People should understand that the risk exists, especially in our region.”
