Take Action on Radon and CARST are partnering to run the Radon Reduction Sweepstakes. Despite all the radon awareness work that we and our partners are doing, we recognize that unless we get homeowners to take action to reduce their radon, we will not achieve our ultimate goal of reducing the health risk posed by radon. The Radon Reduction Sweepstakes is great way to encourage and reward homeowners to take action to reduce their radon risk.
We’d like to recognize the particular efforts of the Saskatchewan Lung Association last year in sharing this program with Saskatchewan residents. Out of a total of 120 participants last year, more than 50% of entries came from Saskatchewan! Here’s how the regions stacked up:
- Alberta/Northwest Territories – 9 entries
- BC/Yukon – 27 entries
- Saskatchewan/Manitoba – 68 entries
- Ontario – 9 entries
- Atlantic/Nunavut – 7 Entries
We’d like to challenge each of you this year to help us double the number of entries, and increase the success of the Radon Reduction Sweepstakes this year.
Again this year, we are pleased to provide you with tools to help you reach out to homeowners to help them take action on radon. You can find a sample letter to send to homeowners who have tested but may not yet have mitigated their home, as well as a letter for homeowners who have already mitigated to let them know they can enter the sweepstakes.
Contest applications can be completed online or downloaded and completed manually and sent to: (entries must be postmarked no later than July 15, 2019)
